Approach
Strategy counts once it runs in operations.
Most of my career has sat where commercial ambition meets network reality. Carriers want to sell cloud communications through their own customer relationships. Platforms want partner revenue without fragmenting how they operate. My job is to design the operating model that makes both work: who owns each stage of the service lifecycle, how decisions are made, and what has to be true before a partner goes live. When growth comes through acquisition, the same discipline turns a newly acquired business into one that runs as part of the whole.
I work across Product, Engineering, Carrier Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Support and acquired leadership teams, leading without formal authority and giving executive sponsors a clear view of readiness, risk and sequencing before they commit.
Capabilities
Where I add the most value
Operating model and governance
Capability maps, DRI frameworks, readiness gates and the governance forums that make decisions stick, with one accountable owner per capability and one-page readouts for the executive team.
Post-acquisition integration
Day 1 to Day 90 and beyond across contracts, support, security, systems, people and OKRs. Experience from both sides of the deal, including DXI into 8×8.
Service-provider and BYOC enablement
Making each carrier partner onboardable and supportable: interop, interconnect, number governance, routing, CDR and billing, incident handling.
Operational readiness
Launches and migrations gated on defined criteria: support enablement, observability, runbooks, escalation paths and regulatory obligations.
Commercial and contractual readiness
Working with Legal, Finance and go-to-market on SOWs, MSAs, pricing, SKUs and the order-to-provision flow that turns a deal into live service.
UK telecoms regulation
Coordinating obligations under Ofcom General Conditions, 999 and emergency services, CLI, TPS/CTPS, ISO 27001 scope and EU data residency.
Selected work
Outcomes, by mandate
First service-provider BYOC partner
Defined 8×8’s service-provider and carrier operating model across the full lifecycle, from qualification and ordering through number management, provisioning, support and billing. Took KCOM from statement of work through interop testing to live orders, aligning Product, Engineering, Carrier Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Billing behind one model.
Outcome Partnership launched publicly in February 2026. The operating model became the foundation for carrier as a dedicated channel and the blueprint for the next partners.
Post-acquisition integration
Lead the integration of Callroute into 8×8 across contracts, support enablement, security, systems and OKRs, chairing the daily integration forum and reporting to the CTO and executive steering.
Outcome Day-30 integration milestones met on schedule, with one governance rhythm spanning Product, Engineering, Legal, Support and the acquired leadership team.
Release governance for cloud communications
Owned release governance and execution alignment across multiple Scrum teams spanning Product, Engineering, Infrastructure and Operations, and led the prioritisation of customer-facing defect SLAs and strategic customer escalations.
Outcome More predictable delivery and stronger production readiness, plus enterprise migrations from on-premise to cloud that improved retention and reduced operational risk.
Infrastructure and carrier operations
Led network operations, data centres and infrastructure supporting the UCaaS and CCaaS platform, with ownership of carrier partnerships, regulatory coordination and number portability operations.
Outcome Improved reliability and service stability while infrastructure and vendor estate scaled with the business.
Local loop unbundling at national scale
Took AOL UK’s LLU programme through provisioning, commissioning, testing and handover to operations across more than 900 exchanges.
Outcome AOL UK became the largest single LLU operator in the UK market at the time.
Career path
Twenty-five years, one route
From network operations centres to platform strategy. Each step added a layer: carrier networks, national-scale rollout, satellite and fibre integration, contact-centre SaaS, and now carrier operating models and acquisition integration.
